Kwenma2, hope you can answer my query below.
I have started GFCF diet (also Soy free and egg free) for my daughter since
last Saturday based on her food allergy test result (IgG). The IgG results
showed that she is highly allergic to all dairy and wheat products. However,
she has no bacterial/yeast issue based on other tests result. Her stool is
normal, no skin rash or hyperactive issue. My inderstanding is that if there is no sign showing that she has gut leakage, there is no point taking GFCF diet at all, since GFCF diet is based on the hypothesis that there is gut leakage and
the undigested food goes into the blood stream without being broken down. Am I
right? I talked to my DAN doctor regarding this and he suggeted that we carry
on with GFCF diet for 3 months first and do a urine test later to
check whether she really has gut problem. Could you pls give me some idea on
this?
Really impressed by your son's improvement and intensive intervention. My
daughter is now 5 and half years old. She has delayed language development
which has misled us thinking that laguage was her only problem until she was
put in a child care revealing her delay in peer relationship as well. Her
attention span is also a big problem but we see improvement on her recently.
She has no apparent language delay now. |
