跟特殊学校的老师继续交涉着。这不马上要IEP了么,要设定下步的目标,所以尽可能的希望目标能更实际些,更对小火炉有帮助。
我问在新的学校能否有para来跟着小火炉,因为在新的学校小火炉肯定没有太大的可能得到特殊服务的,毕竟连ASD的班都没有了?
老师说:With regards to para support during choice time in Kindergarten, I've recently observed 小火炉 during free choice time and he's been doing much better. At this time, I feel that 小火炉 required increased exposure and experiences with his Kindergarten peers in order to feel more comfortable with those peer to peer interactions. This may be an aspect of 小火炉's day in which the Social Worker could provide guidance and strategies in the area of peer to peer supports and strategies for less-structured social activties. He might not necessarily require para support during those times if strategies/supports (other than adult presence) are put into place.
小火炉爸跟NT幼儿园的老师谈了小火炉可能的转学问题,The teacher does not think 小火炉 should be placed into 新学校 without support. She said it will take a long time for 小火炉去学会社交技巧,和其他孩子交往。
然后我又给特殊学校老师写了信, 提了要求:

- Does not have a friend, even though had numerous chances to get to know kids in church, school, family-friends gatherings, etc.
He can not make friends during natural environment
- Does not follow instructions of coaches in gymnastic class and swimming class.
- Speech delayed compared to peers at 5 year age
1. We do think 小火炉 still need some support at least half an hour or an hour per day. Maybe just encourage 小火炉 to talk with others and write down who does 小火炉 talk to and how does his social interaction go. Then we will know his performance at K better. I think we'd better set up some specific goals for social part.----这是从小K妈那里学的,谢谢了。
2. As for transportation, we would like to stay at 现在的学校 if no transportation from 新学校. 小火炉 had a good start this semester at 现在学校, we do not want to change environment during middle of semester if unnecessary. That is a challenge even for normal kids. Transportation is a big issue for us.
3. About speech therapy, can 小火炉 still get some? He is still delayed compared with normal kids.
