out-of-network benefit works for the medical related services. But for Homeopathy and DAN related to treating autism, they don't think it is under the coverage.Mainstream doctors and insurance don't agree that autism can be treated. Only ABA might be considered for coverage(in network or out of network.). We went through all of these long time ago.

Damn it! Those insurance regulations are really a nightmare, and I really got exhausted when dealing with them.

It is painful. I can't remember how much money we have already spent especially on DANs or Amy Yasko who is super money hunger and you can't imagine how greedy she is. I just gave up them and their treatments for the only temporary progress. Now my goal is for my son to get fully recovered, so DAN or Amy Yasko these greedy guys will not help.  The Doctors I am seeing now are way cheaper and sound very promising. So now I don't really spend much money on them. I just need time. I am just hoping my son will get recovered. It is all in God's hand. Blessing!

Your Homeopathy and DAN used Autism code as the dignosis code?? of course it was denied.
They should use other codes like allergy code, etc. We didn't have any problem with DAN and homeopathy.
And you are lucky that ABA is covered, which is normally not considered as "medical necessary".

在这个主流医学没有办法医治的疾病面前，相信或者尝试一些别的办法，的确就像宗教信仰一样。但是有希望总是好的，不是吗？更何况确实有孩子对生物干预有反应，虽然原理上说不清。在风险可控的情况下，我觉得是值得尝试的。家长需要运用自己的判别力而已。

从你讲的情况看, 你所在的学区特教服务不算特好. 建议你以琳结束后考虑搬家. sorry I told you its a bitter melon. 因为如果3岁左右的特教服务没有起色的话, 往上走有起色的可能性很小. 好的特教学区很重要, 学校服务好了可以帮助你省很多事不少钱.  听说加卅好但我无法推荐, 因为我在东海岸.

谢谢你。苦瓜是我的最爱。其实我现在跟你想的不谋而合。我现在正在我们这个地方最好的学区看房，准备搬过去。那个学区据说是special ed 做的最好的。我现在是几条路同时走。学区我在协调。也同时在依琳排队，在排队的同时也准备去北京的五彩鹿高强度训练几个月。

另外，你们俩不许再讲黑话了。要说标准国语普通话+白话文。嘿嘿！
