School Aged Intervention ServiceThe Autism Association School Aged Intervention Service is a State Government funded service to provide comprehensive services to school aged children with Autism. To access the service, the child must be eligible for funding from Disability Services Commission, and must be between 6 and 18 years of age, and attending school full time. However, places are limited.
This service is based on a wide body of evidence-based research in Autism. The program employs a trans-disciplinary approach with professionals, combining their clinical expertise, to address the individual needs of the family and the child with Autism.
A clinician will be appointed to each family to provide strategies and support in areas of identifi ed need. The priorities and individual needs of each child will be identifi ed during initial interviews with parents and consultation with the clinical team.
